Under the high patronage of H.E. Mariem Mint Mohamed Fadel Ould Dah, First Lady of Mauritania, the Ministry of Trade and Tourism organized the first edition of the Tourist Village on August 10–11, 2025, at Mirador – Ribat El Bahr.

This event featured:

• captivating exhibitions on tourism in Mauritania,
• meetings with artisans and creators,
• family-friendly shows and entertainment,
• stands and kiosks offering unique souvenirs.

The Directorate of Handicrafts took part in this initiative alongside its partners, aiming to showcase Mauritanian know-how and encourage the encounter between tradition and modernity.

A wonderful opportunity to strengthen the visibility of artisans and to promote the cultural richness of our country.
