Nouakchott, October 13, 2025 – A new entrepreneurship training session began today at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Handicrafts and Trades, as part of the continued implementation of the training and support program dedicated to the leather sector.

The meeting was held in the presence of representatives from the General Directorate, the National Chamber of Handicrafts and Trades, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the UNIPOD platform, an expert from the company Maraz, as well as several artisans participating in the program.

This program aims to support artisans in developing their skills and improving their project management capacities, in order to strengthen their contribution to the local economy.
